Grandma Knows Best Before

Preventing food waste with a little help from the baddest oldies. Food waste is a big problem all over the world—especially in Singapore. Despite being big foodies, Singaporeans are big wasters and throw out about $352 million worth of food each year. Why? Because they often find their food expired, mouldy, or just think it smells/looks bad. They're overly reliant on expiry dates and don't know how to tell if their food has gone bad, in stark contrast to our much-beloved individuals from the Pioneer Generation a.k.a. our grandparents, more specifically, our grandmas.
